This is the most comprehensive list of all the terms and concepts you may encounter on your journey of learning about the NFT space.

1:1 Art

A unique NFT artwork that exists in only one edition.

10k project

A collection of NFTs consisting of approximately 10,000 avatars, possibly first popularized by the CryptoPunks collection. This term is also commonly used to describe similar avatar projects, regardless of the actual number of NFTs in the collection.

Airdrop

New NFTs or cryptocurrencies that are automatically sent to your wallet for free. This is a common practice in the crypto space to attract and reward early users of a project.

Alpha

Access to significant insider information. For example, you can say, "I work at Opensea, so I have Alpha on new artists we'll be collaborating with next month."

Ape-ing (into something)

When you "ape into" something, it means you are buying something recklessly and usually out of FOMO (fear of missing out) and/or without proper due diligence.

Asset

Another way to refer to a digital collectible or token.

Avatar project

Essentially the same as a 10k project. Refers to a collection consisting of several thousand NFT "avatars," such as CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Cool Cats.

Bearish

When you believe the market or an asset is moving in a downward trajectory. For example, "I'm feeling quite bearish about the Play-to-Earn (P2E) gaming space right now."
